Meet Dr. Busvek
Dr. Edward Busvek was born and raised in St Thomas, Ontario to parents who had emigrated from Croatia.
Dr. Busvek attended St Raphael’s school followed by Central Elgin Collegiate Institute. He enjoyed playing all sports and was a church organist at St Anne’s Church.
Upon completion of an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Physiology/Pharmacology at Western University, he went on to complete a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. After graduation, Dr. Busvek returned to St. Thomas and built a clinic. He has been conferred as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentistry and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.
His wife, Roberta, is the Clinic Manager and he has two sons, Maxwell and Alexander. Alex is an attorney in Tampa Bay, Florida, and Max is pursuing a career as an electrician.
Dr. Busvek likes skiing, golfing and the Blue Jays. A lifelong musician, he currently plays bass guitar for The Smokin Bass Band. Dr. Busvek has always been involved in his profession. He has served on the Executive of the Elgin Dental Association and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Dental Association.
